The Rossmoor Dog Park Club (RDPC) is a Golden Rain Foundation (GRF) sanctioned organization whose mission is to set social guidelines for the park’s users and support the park's upkeep and amenities. RDPC dues are $20 per calendar year.

RDP users do not need to be paid members of the RDPC to use the park. However, the Club invites and urges all park users to join and support the club’s mission. 

Safety First: Dog and people safety is the RDPC’s top priority! All RDP users should be on the lookout for any situation that may be unsafe. E.g. any object if ingested or otherwise harm a dog or person and/or create any health problems!  

It's important to ensure that all dogs using the RDP are healthy and up to date on all required vaccinations. The LICENSING of every dog in the State of California IS THE LAW !  All dogs over four months old in Contra Costa County must have a current rabies vaccination and license.  Following are the Minimum Recommended Core Vaccines for a dog that regularly visits dog parks and frequently socializes with other dogs, 

• Rabies: This vaccine is legally required in California and protects against the deadly rabies virus. 
• DHPP: This combination vaccine protects against distemper, adenovirus (hepatitis), parvovirus, and parainfluenza. 
• Bordetella: This vaccine is highly recommended for dogs that attend dog parks, daycare, or boarding facilities. It protects against kennel cough, a highly contagious respiratory infection. 
• Leptospirosis: This vaccine is recommended for dogs that have access to public sources of water, as leptospirosis is a bacterial disease spread through contaminated water. 

Consult with your veterinarian to determine the specific vaccination schedule and recommendations for your dog, considering their age, lifestyle, and local disease prevalence. Your veterinarian will advise on the frequency of booster shots to maintain optimal protection.  In addition to vaccinations, consider preventive measures like regular flea and tick treatments and heartworm prevention.

By following these guidelines, you can help ensure your dog's health and safety while enjoying social interactions with other dogs.  All park users are expected to work together to maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for the dogs and their people. 

The RDPC asks everyone to be mindful of all RDP users and their dogs. Please be civil, polite, respectful at all times and always endeavor to keep your dogs under control.

The RDP is not a public picnic area. To avoid any potential issues and/or problems, please refrain from bringing in food or treats for dogs and/or people in to the park. The consumption of alcoholic beverages or anything in a glass container is expressly prohibited. 

Clean up is a simple act, but it makes a big difference. Let's all do our part to keep the park clean by promptly picking up after our dogs.

The RDPC does not have any direct enforcement authority. However, should you see someone or their dog behaving inappropriately, please politely remind them of our guidelines. Serious repeat offenders of these guidelines may be reported to GRF for action.

Members of the RDPC are considered ambassador representatives  of the club and endeavor to be role models and set a good example for others. We all want to enjoy the park, so let's work together to maintain a positive atmosphere.
